All recorded documents located in our office are available to the public. It is our goal to provide convenient, efficient and easy access to the information located in this office. Because of the liability factor, we are unable to provide you with information or accept copy requests via e-mail or telephone. You may request your copies in person or through the mail. If you visit our office, our clerks will gladly assist you in locating your document. You can acquire a copy of any recorded document during your visit to our office.
The Department of Real Estate houses more than 12 million documents. In order to provide you with an efficient and accurate copy service, we require the following information: type of document, name of the parties involved, date the document was recorded, volume and page of the document, and the location (municipality, township, etc.)
We accept cash, money order or certified checks for copy payment. We do not accept personal checks. Please DO NOT send cash via mail. Make checks payable to the Department of Real Estate.
