Harrison Hills Park in Harrison Township occupies the extreme northeast portion of Allegheny County, bordering the Allegheny River and offering a magnificent overlook in which the viewer can see three other counties -Westmoreland, Butler and Armstrong. The theme of the picnic groves and shelters is seeing birds, trees and plants: Wake Robin, Laurel, Buckeye and Overlook.

6/15     Allegheny County Park Hike Quest Hikes
Environmental Learning Center
Join Bruce Cridlebaugh on this through exploration of each of the Allegheny County Parks. These Advanced Level hikes are intended to move at a brisk pace, covering a long distance (10-12 miles) over very hilly terrain. Hikers must be in good physical condition. This is not a casual walk in the park. The route connects the park's outermost trails for a day-long loop hike. In addition to some serious hiking, we will explore the history and special features of the park. Participants will receive a detailed hiking map of the park.
