Fitzgerald Statement on the Passing of Joe Natoli

PITTSBURGH – Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald issued the following statement today on the passing of Joe Natoli:

“I was saddened to hear of the passing of Joe Natoli. He served as one of the first members of the inaugural County Council and his dedication and experience helped us get this new government off of the ground. He served the community for years, worked in the Pittsburgh Parks and Recreation Department for 35 years, including a long stint as chair of the 10th ward in the City of Pittsburgh. Perhaps, just as importantly, Joe was well known as the man behind the Morningside Bulldogs. As team founder and head coach, he led the youth football team for boys ages 13-15 to a record of 271-19-8 during its existence from 1950-1979. He touched the lives of hundreds of children and families and will be long remembered for his contributions to so many in our region.”
