The Color Run™ 5k is a unique, one-of-a-kind, family-friendly, nationwide 5k running event. The non-timed event focuses on providing fun experiences for both novice and serious athletes. Each event begins with a “start party” followed by five kilometers of color and ends with a festival. Runners and walkers wear white shirts and as they reach each kilometer color zone, they are blitzed by volunteers, sponsors and staff with color made from 100% natural and safe products. The organization raises donations for over 60 local and national charities each year. The event at South Park is expected to draw nearly 7,000 participants.
