PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Parks Department today announced its activities, events and concerts schedule for July 30-August 5. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. All concert acts and times are subject to change. One-time application fee of $15. Each 45-minute session is $40. Pre-registration is required by calling Joanne Murdy at 412-607-8075 or Anne Davis at 615-513-4106. Several medical forms & releases are also required.  

Horses with Hope is a faith-based, non-profit organization that provides therapeutic riding and other equine-related activities to enhance the physical, mental, social & emotional needs of children & adults. Each session is taught by a PATH International certified instructor & trained volunteers who lead the horse and use side-walkers on each side of the rider. Each rider is instructed on horsemanship, grooming, tacking & mounted riding. The skills are determined by the rider’s capabilities & the instructor, while focusing on as much independence as possible. We are committed to providing safe, quality programs for children & adults. Free. Ron Bickel has had a long and varied career as a professional pianist. He has performed in country clubs and hotels throughout the Pittsburgh area, as well as at Heinz Hall and the Benedum Theater. His repertoire is very large and includes standards from the Great American Songbook, show tunes, classic rock, Motown, popular songs and some classical pieces.

Western PA Wildcatz vs. PGH Cobras 

$7 for adults. $5 for children ages 12 & under. Season passes are $20. The Western PA Wildcatz Semi Pro Football Team was started to help young men advance in our community. There are many talented young adults who are unable to attend college in order to continue playing football due to lack of proper finances. The Heartland Semi-Pro Football League is a way from them to excel on and off the field. It not only gives them an opportunity to advance their football careers, but it also provides an opportunity for the community to come together and support local small businesses. The Wildcatz are dedicated to making a positive impact and giving back by donating time and resources to local charities, as well as to being role models. Get more information.
