PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Parks Department today announced its activities, events and concerts schedule for July 16-22. All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted. Horses with Hope is a faith-based, non-profit organization that provides therapeutic riding and other equine-related activities to enhance the physical, mental, social & emotional needs of children & adults. Each session is taught by a PATH International certified instructor & trained volunteers who lead the horse and use side-walkers on each side of the rider. Each rider is instructed on horsemanship, grooming, tacking & mounted riding. The skills are determined by the rider’s capabilities & the instructor, while focusing on as much independence as possible. We are committed to providing safe, quality programs for children & adults. The Plum Running Mustangs have provided young people in the Plum School District with an avenue for fitness and fellowship based on the ideals of respect for others, hard work, and family. In 2007, the Running Mustang family reached out to support others who were running a race, not for a trophy, but for their lives. Thus the Stampede in the Park 5K race was born. Western PA Wildcatz vs. Oil City Rampage 

$7 for adults. $5 for children ages 12 & under. Season passes are $20. The Western PA Wildcatz Semi Pro Football Team was started to help young men advance in our community. There are many talented young adults who are unable to attend college in order to continue playing football due to lack of proper finances. The Heartland Semi-Pro Football League is a way from them to excel on and off the field. It not only gives them an opportunity to advance their football careers, but it also provides an opportunity for the community to come together and support local small businesses.
