Final Realignment Work to Begin June 17 on Broughton & Horning Roads

PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Department of Public Works, in cooperation with District 11 of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, today announced that the final realignment work will begin on Broughton and Horning Roads on Monday, June 17, 2013 at 7:00 a.m. through 7:00 p.m.

As part of the Brownsville and Broughton Road project, north and south bound traffic on Broughton Road (State Route 2040) between Park Street and Brownsville Road will be re-routed to a new traffic pattern.  Motorists should expect 15 minute traffic stoppages as work crew remove concrete barriers, traffic controls and paint line stripping. New signals will be activated at the Brownsville/Broughton intersection and Horning/Broughton intersection.
