Two Week Closure of Mt. Troy Road Extension

PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Department of Public Works today announced that the section of Mt. Troy Road Extension between Mt. Troy Road and Peoples Township Road, in Ross Township, will close to thru traffic for two consecutive weeks.  The road closure began Friday, April 19 and is scheduled to re-open on or before the end of the workday on Friday, May 3.

Mt. Troy Road Extension will be excavated where a deteriorated timber cribbing wall was removed last summer, and the contractor will be installing a subsurface drainage system and replacing the roadway with a 24-inch pavement template.

The contractor will maintain road access to local residences.  The detour route from Peoples Township Road will turn left onto Mt. Troy Road Extension to Mt. Troy Road, turn right onto Mt. Troy Road to Mt. Troy Road Extension, then turn right onto Mt. Troy Road Extension.
