Kane Glen Hazel Treated to Valentine’s Day Party
Pittsburgh Cares and Highmark volunteers organized a fun filled Valentine’s Day party for the residents and families of Kane Glen Hazel. Twelve volunteers from Highmark created five Valentine-themed game stations. They then manned the booths and played along with the residents.
Amanda Trocki, Director of Corporate Programs from Pittsburgh Cares said, “The volunteers had an absolute blast celebrating the holiday with the seniors from Kane. I can’t think of a better way to share some love on Valentine’s Day.”
The day’s events concluded with HEART bingo. Root beer and cherry floats were added as a special treat.
“We thank the special people from Highmark and Pittsburgh Cares for making Valentine’s Day a fun filled event,” said Gwen Baugh Conlin, Volunteer Service Supervisor at Kane Glen Hazel. “The smiles and laughter were enough to show how much our residents appreciated the party.”
