Black History Month at Kane Glen Hazel

February is Black History Month and Kane Glen Hazel is once again celebrating with its annual, month-long, Black History Exhibit. 

“We have over 100 posters, pictures, banners and news article hanging on the walls of the first floor of the facility,” said Reverend Robert W. Lay, retired Protestant Chaplain of Kane Glen Hazel.  “These presentations about the rich Afro-American experience in this country are both enjoyable and educational.”

The following poster series are on display:      

  • African American Heroes Series
  • Stars of the Harlem Renaissance Series
  • Black Innovator Series
  • Kings and Queens of Africa Series
  • Black Soldiers Series
  • Struggle for Civil Rights Series
  • The African American Experience Series

The exhibit is open to the public between the hours of 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
