First CCAC Photo IDs to be Issued Oct 1. at Homewood-Brushton Center

PITTSBURGH – Allegheny County Executive Rich Fitzgerald announced that the first photo IDs for voting purposes will be issued by the Community College of Allegheny County at its Homewood-Brushton Center from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1.  The Center is located at 701 North Homewood Avenue in Pittsburgh.

“Anyone who wants to participate in our democracy through elections should have every opportunity to do so, and Allegheny County and CCAC are going to make sure they can,” said Fitzgerald. “I encourage any registered voter who needs a photo ID to come to CCAC’s Homewood-Brushton Center with one of the approved documents, and we’ll issue an ID on the spot so you can cast a ballot this November.”

To receive a photo ID card, persons need to be registered to vote in Pennsylvania and present one of the following items:

  • Non-photo identification issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania;
  • Non-photo identification issued by the United States government;
  • Firearm permit;
  • Current utility bill;
  • Current bank statement;
  • Paycheck;
  • Government check; or
  • Pennsylvania voter registration card.

Additional locations and dates will be scheduled throughout the month of October as the Election Day nears and will be formally announced as they are scheduled.
