Fitzgerald Submits Legislation to Council

PITTSBURGH – County Executive Rich Fitzgerald has submitted several items of legislation to County Council for consideration including:

  • A Grants and Special Account Amendment to provide for a $256,000 grant for the Justice Reinvestment Initiative (Department of Human Services), a $197,308 grant for the PCCD Jail IT Project (Department of Human Services), two grants totaling $149,671 for Tuberculosis programs (Department of Health), a $214,393 grant for Insurance Fraud Investigation (County Police) and a $15,983 grant for Project Safe Neighborhood (County Police)
  • Authorization of the conveyance of a vacant wooded lot in Ben Avon Borough that is owned by the County, the borough, and the school district to an adjacent property owner who will be responsible for maintenance of the property to discourage trespassing, loitering and vandalism in the area
  • Authorization to allow the use of the Model Aircraft Field located in North Park by the North Hills Eagle Squadron from November 1, 2011 to October 31, 2014
