World Wide Web Icon Oliver Miller Homestead – Quilts in the Gardens

Quilting has been a colorful and favorite activity for centuries. These lovely and practical coverings are highlighted at a day dedicated to the techniques and final results of quilting. Stop by the kitchen garden to learn what plants were important to the pioneers. At the herb garden, learn how herbs were used both for cooking and in medicinal manners. Flax and rye will be available to examine and to learn about their uses. Learn how the pioneers cultivated and preserved their foods. $2 admission.
