PITTSBURGH – The Allegheny County Department of Public Works today announced two bridge closures for this coming weekend:
The Glendale Bridge, carrying Carothers Avenue/Third Street in Scott Township and Carnegie, will be closed from Saturday, April 14th at 6:00 a.m. through Monday, April 16, 2012 at 6:00 a.m. for repairs. Local traffic will have access up to the bridge in both directions. Through traffic is advised to use Route 50 and Main Street as a detour. Traffic on Route 50/Washington Avenue or Hope Hollow Road will take Route 50 into Carnegie, turn left onto Main Street and return to Third Street. Traffic on Third Street or Main Street will use the route in reverse.
The Sixth Street Bridge in downtown Pittsburgh will be closed between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. this Saturday, April 14th to install banners for the Pittsburgh Marathon.
