Interactive Tour of the Brain part of Kane Glen Hazel Event

Alzheimer’s Association Information Highlighted in Family Council Meeting

The Social Services staff at the Kane Regional Center in Glen Hazel utilized information provided by the Alzheimer’s Association to offer residents’ family members an interactive tour of the brain.

The visual depiction entitled “Inside the Brain: An Interactive Tour” focused on the areas of the brain affected by Alzheimer’s disease and illustrated how the illness impacts mental functioning and behavior. Kane Glen Hazel features specialty care programs for those with memory loss and challenging behavior.

“Many Family Council members shared their experiences in caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia,” said Judy Fockler, Social Services Supervisor at Kane Glen Hazel. “The presentation provided very useful information in a manner that made a difficult and complex subject much easier to understand.”

The Family Council meets every other month at Kane Glen Hazel.
