Olive Garden “Tree” made the Holiday Special at Kane Ross

The Olive Garden Restaurant helped make the Christmas season a memorable one at the Kane Regional Center in Ross Township.

The Olive Garden, located at 40 McIntyre Square Drive, provided presents for 40 residents at Kane Ross. The Olive Garden Team volunteered to fulfill the wish list on a “Star Tree” that had the names of residents and presents they hoped to receive during the holidays.

“This is a testament to our commitment to giving back to the community,” said a representative of the Olive Garden staff. “This is one of our core principals.”

The presents were delivered much to the delight of the Kane Ross residents.

“I think it’s wonderful. The residents really picked simple and practical stuff,” said Sarah Frank, Social Service Supervisor at Kane Ross. “It’s a really nice gesture. It’s great for the residents.”

The Kane Ross Recreation Therapy staff hand-delivered the presents once the gifts were dropped off at the regional center.

“The residents loved everything that they received,” said Dana Nicodemus, Recreation Therapy Supervisor at Kane Ross. “A few of the residents had tears in their eyes because they were so thankful for the presents.”
