PITTSBURGH – Allegheny County Public Works today announced that Stanton Avenue, which becomes Hoffman Road, will continue to be closed between Karen Drive in Millvale and Johnston Street in Reserve Township due to inclement weather during the construction season. Weather permitting, the roadway will reopen by Friday, November 11.

The closure has been necessary for removal and replacement of a culvert carrying Girty’s Run beneath Hoffman Road.

Traffic will continue to be rerouted on posted detours. Motorists traveling north on Stanton Avenue in Millvale will be directed onto North Avenue, continuing onto Greyer Road, and then onto Mt. Troy Road. Motorists traveling south on Hoffman Road in Reserve Township will follow the detour in reverse.

For additional information, contact Therese Shearer at 412-350-5910.
