Board of Elections
The Board of Elections (BOE) is a requirement of the Pennsylvania Election Code. The three members of the BOE are the County Executive and the two At Large Members of County Council. In years when any or all of the BOE members are candidates for election, BOE members are appointed by the Court of Common Pleas.
The BOE is charged primarily with preparing for and conducting elections and certifying election results. Most election related activity is the responsibility of the Elections Division of the Department of Administrative Services.
Meetings and Minutes
The BOE meets in public session, generally before and after each election.
