SPECIAL ELECTION QUESTION

Do you favor issuance of licenses to conduct small games of chance in the Borough of Bradford Woods?

Explanation of Ballot Question

   Voters shall determine whether or not the Borough of Bradford Woods shall be authorized to issue licenses to clubs and other organizations to conduct games of chance.

   If approved by a majority of those voting, the local governing body can issue licenses to certain nonprofit organizations for the promotion of charitable or civic purposes for "games of chance" such as punch boards, lotteries, raffles and pull tabs. These games will not be played by or with the assistance of any mechanical or electrical devices and the limits on winnings are $500 for any single winner.

   Approval of this question does not authorize slot machines or video poker machines.
