On Monday June 9, 2014, the Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) and Creative.Life.Support, the non-profit arm of Mr. Smalls Funhouse, are sponsoring a concert at Mr. Smalls Theatre in Millvale to raise funds for the Allegheny County Music Festival Fund. Youth involved with DHS, including current and former foster youth, will show off musical abilities honed through their participation in the "We Rock Workshop."

Starting June 9 through August 15, 2014, the Allegheny County Department of Human Services will operate the SummerFood program, a free breakfast, lunch and recreation program for children through 18 years old, as well as eligible individuals with disabilities, no age limit.

Allegheny County Department of Human Services Area Agency on Aging (AAA) will again be administering the Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program. This program assists eligible older adults in purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables by providing a set of four checks for a total of $20.

February 21, 2014 Project Prom and Project Prom for Gentlemen Dates Set
The Allegheny County Department of Human Services (DHS) annual Project Prom giveaway of prom attire to eligible high school students begins on Saturday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Project Prom Shop in Century III Mall, West Mifflin. The giveaway continues March 17 through 20, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
