AAA Home-Delivered Meals Plan Reorganizes
Area Agency on Aging will be making changes to its home-delivered meal
program this summer as a direct result of a recent decision by Lutheran
Services Society to withdraw as a service provider.

County Area Agency on Aging administrators presented their budget and
annual plan at a recent public hearing at the Human Services Building.
Human Services Groups Prepare for Refugees
DHS Immigrants and Internationals Advisory Council’s recently held a workshop the workshop for representatives of area human service providers to prepare for the October arrival of 200 refugees from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Quality Service Report Underscores Approach to Child Welfare
Earlier this month, DHS joined the state and University of Pittsburgh Child Welfare Resource Center staff in presenting the results of the 2013 QSR, conducted in February by reviewing 20 cases selected at random. This is the third year the county has conducted the review, which is being phased in statewide.
