Office of Community Services (OCS) conducts ROMA Training in January
On January 19 and 27, the Office of Community Services (OCS) conducted an eight-and-a-half-hour “Results-Oriented Management and Accountability” (ROMA) training. Seventeen human services professionals from 14 agencies attended the training, which was designed to enhance and strengthen the management practices of Community Action Agencies and their networks of provider agencies.

DHS AmeriCorps/KEYS members participate in Martin Luther King Jr. Day Activities
Approximately 90 DHS AmeriCorps/KEYS (Knowledge to Empower Youths to Success) members commemorated Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2012 by participating in two service projects to benefit children in Allegheny County.

PA Right-To-Know Law: How Does it Impact DHS?
The Pennsylvania Right-To-Know law (RTK), implemented in 2008, requires all Commonwealth, local, legislative and judicial agencies to provide access to public records upon request. This means the public has the right to inspect and/or obtain copies of Allegheny County’s public records, including those held by DHS. Any legal resident of the United States can file an RTK request.
