Services in the Home

Adult Day Care Services
Licensed day care programs are available for individuals who need supervision and are not capable of full-time independent living.
Care Management
AAA will assign you a care manager who will work with you and your family to develop a care plan that addresses your needs, as identified by the assessment. The care manager coordinates the necessary services, which may include adult day care, home-delivered meals, personal care, chore service, home health, home companions, and respite care.
Caregiver Support
Assistance may be provided to older adults to relieve their day-to-day burden and stress associated with living with and caring for functionally impaired family members.
Carrier Alert
U.S. Postal Service mail carriers are made aware of participating individuals who ask to have the appropriate service agency alerted if/when mail accumulates in their mailboxes, which can be an indication that there is reason for concern within the home.

Chore Service
Help may be provided with home maintenance tasks, such as light housekeeping and minor home repairs. These in home visits are also an opportunity to check on the well-being of older adults during emergencies such as extremely hot or cold weather, and power outages.
Home-delivered Meals
Often referred to as "meals on wheels," a nutritious, balanced meal is delivered Monday through Friday to older adults who have difficulty in cooking or leaving their home. Weekday deliveries of meals are also an opportunity to check on the well-being of older adults during emergencies such as extremely hot or cold weather, and power outages.

Home Health Aide
Assistance may be provided in your home including services related to nursing care, home health aides, speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, light housekeeping and grocery shopping. Personal Care
In-home assistance may be provided for individuals with limited ability to perform daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, grooming and walking. These in home visits are also an opportunity to check on the well-being of older adults during emergencies such as extremely hot or cold weather, and power outages.
Senior Companion Program
Provides regular visits and assistance to older adults in their home. Companions may assist with simple daily activities, serve as an escort for shopping, medical, or social outings, or provide caregiver relief. These in home visits are also an opportunity to check on the well-being of older adults during emergencies such as extremely hot or cold weather, and power outages.
