Involuntary Mental Health Treatment: Information, Referral and Emergency Services (IRES) 412-350-4457
Emergency Examination and Treatment (302) including information about MH services, emergency MH needs and involuntary commitment. IRES operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Mental Health Crisis Line: Allegheny Crisis and Emergency Services 1-888-796-8226
Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic (WPIC) of UPMC, in partnership with the DHS Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) and Community Care Behavioral Health, will begin the process of becoming the single provider of an expanded, comprehensive behavioral health crisis response service in Allegheny County (formerly ACES). This network of services, named re:solve Crisis Network, will include telephone crisis services and mobile crisis services. All residents of Allegheny County are eligible and can reach the re:solve Crisis Network 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by calling 1-888-7-YOUCAN (1-888-796-8226).
