DHS, Juvenile Probation to host annual public hearing July 29
DHS and the Allegheny County Juvenile Probation Office will host the annual public hearing on the draft of the 2010-2011 Needs-Based Plan and Budget and the Integrated Children Services Plan (ICSP) in the Gold Room on Wednesday, July 29, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Gold Room (Room 410) is located on the fourth floor of the Allegheny County Courthouse, 436 Grant Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
The plans include comprehensive strategies to coordinate children’s services provided by DHS and Juvenile Court. These services include mental health, mental retarda¬tion, developmental disabilities, drug and alcohol, child welfare, and juvenile justice and probation.
Drafts of the ICSP and the CYF and Juvenile Court Needs-Based Plan and Budget will be available after July 17 at the Allegheny County Juvenile Court, 550 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh, 15219 and at DHS offices at One Smithfield Street, First Floor, Pittsburgh, 15222. The plan drafts will also be posted on the DHS website (www.alleghenycounty.us/dhs).
Hearing attendees will have an opportu¬nity to talk directly with DHS and Juvenile Probation staff and the administrators of the DHS offices that oversee the services listed above.
Persons wishing to provide comments on either plan are asked to call 412-350-5225 (TTY 412-350-5205) by July 24 to be placed on the agenda.
Testimony presented at the hearing, or other comments regarding the plans, should be submitted in writing at the hearing site or delivered to be received no later than July 31, to Terry Lane, via e-mail at Terry.Lane@alleghenycounty.us or by mail at DHS, Executive Office, One Smithfield St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
