Common location for info re: cross-systems programs
For nearly a decade, DHS has been working with internal and external stakeholders to improve not only the way human services are made available but the way in which they are evaluated as well.
The ultimate goal of these continuous efforts is to achieve the most effective and efficient human services delivery system possible. And since it is the rare individual or family that has only one issue contributing to their involvement with the Department, especially in more difficult times, DHS has long advocated, and often implemented, a cross-systems approach to service delivery.
In the ideal cross-systems approach, not only are all DHS offices included, but also criminal justice, education, and the broader public and private sector.
A new section has been added to the DHS web site that highlights some of the most prominent cross-systems programs in which DHS is involved. The new cross-systems page, www.alleghenycounty.us/dhs/cross-systems.aspx, offers links to additional information to help make sense of what might otherwise seem like overwhelmingly complex programs.
The content of the page will be updated often, so repeat visits are encouraged and welcomed.
Current content on the DHS Cross-systems web page includes:
- Data Warehouse
- Jail Collaborative
- Improving Outcomes for Children and Families in Allegheny County
- Interagency Review/Rapid Response Team/RESPOND
