CRO Caseworker Jaron praised by family
Barbara Sweitzer, Program Specialist in the DHS Office of Community Relations Director’s Action Line, received a call from a couple of family members involved with the DHS Office of Children, Youth and Families, complementing the manner in which Ross Jaron interacts with them. Jaron is a caseworker in the CYF Central Regional Office.
According to Sweitzer, the callers commended the way Jaron provides support and assistance to the family, and that he “talks about everything” and keeps the family informed. Jaron was also credited with reminding the family about important things that they need to do. The family also truly appreciated that Jaron “cares about the kids.”
Hunger & Housing Administrator thanks AAA Care Management staff
Rich Venezia, Administrator, DHS Office of Community Services, Bureau of Hunger and Housing Services, recently wrote an email to express his sincere gratitude to three Area Agency on Aging staff for their work this past winter helping homeless seniors who accessed the Severe Weather Emergency Shelter.
According to Venezia, The staff at the SWES were very appreciative of the Care Management staff—Kurt Emmerling, Don Grant and Russell Goralczyk—who interviewed the seniors and assisted with their placement into appropriate resources.
In his message to Emmerling, Grant and Goralczyk, Venezia wrote, “as you know, coordinating appropriate services to the homeless at the SWES is often a time-sensitive scramble and I can’t thank you all enough for your help. Your responsiveness in assisting our network of emergency shelters who encounter seniors with various health issues is most appreciated.”
