Rich Venezia, Administrator, DHS Office of Community Services, Bureau of Hunger and Housing Services, recently wrote an email to express his sincere gratitude to three Area Agency on Aging staff for their work this past winter helping homeless seniors who accessed the Severe Weather Emergency Shelter.

According to Venezia, The staff at the SWES were very appreciative of the Care Management staff—Kurt Emmerling, Don Grant and Russell Goralczyk—who interviewed the seniors and assisted with their placement into appropriate resources.

In his message to Emmerling, Grant and Goralczyk, Venezia wrote, “as you know, coordinating appropriate services to the homeless at the SWES is often a time-sensitive scramble and I can’t thank you all enough for your help.
