The Division of Computer Services (DCS) Help Desk is designed to give all users, regardless of the platform they use, a central phone number to call and report all of their computer problems by selecting the appropriate option. The responsibility of the DCS Help Desk support staff is to record all the pertinent information and attempt to resolve the problem. If unable to do so, they will enter a work order and direct it to the responsible technician for resolving their problem.

The DCS Help Desk phone is staffed Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., the Voicemail is checked hourly. The Help Desk will be closed for the following County observed holidays:
- New Year's Day
- Martin Luther King Day
- President's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Veteran's Day
- Thanksgiving
- Christmas.
After normal duty hours, minimal staff is available to take care of minor problems, passwords, locked accounts, etc. The Help Desk Duty person will evaluate serious outages and contact DCS support staff for appropriate action which may result in a longer response time than is normal.
It is the responsibility of the support staff scheduled to come in Monday mornings, and the day after holidays, to retrieve, record and distribute any Help Desk calls recorded on Voicemail from the previous night.
