The hot water, chilled water, and condenser water pumping systems equipment and controls are being upgraded in the Shuman Juvenile Detention Center. The existing cooling tower in the Shuman Juvenile Detention Center is being refurbished with the installation of variable frequency drives on the cooling tower fans motors. The existing EMS associated with the cooling tower is being upgraded to direct digital controls. The refurbished cooling tower guarantees $2,589 in annual cost avoidance for Allegheny County.
