More than 250 international firms have headquarters or regional offices located in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Their business efforts are enhanced by such organizations as the World Trade Center Pittsburgh, the Greater Pittsburgh World Trade Association, the Pittsburgh Council for International Visitors and the World Affairs Council.
Allegheny County is also home to one of the first International Business Centers, located at the Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh, which provides international business education and research as well as services to the regional business community.
