Are you or someone you love having a behavioral health crisis?

Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic of UPMC and Allegheny County Department of Human Services have partnered to bring comprehensive behavioral health crisis services to the residents of Allegheny County.

re:solve Crisis Network includes 24-hour-a-day, 365-days-a-year telephone, mobile crisis, walk-in and crisis overnight residential services that are available to any Allegheny County resident no matter age, ability to pay, or whether they have used behavioral health services in the past.

Round the clock service – even on holidays – includes:

  • Crisis counseling and support over the phone by a trained counselor
  • Information about how to get needed services
  • Access and referral to additional crisis, treatment and other behavioral health supports

Answers 24 hours a day, every day

This number answers 24 hours a day, seven days a week and puts a person in touch with an Allegheny County Delegate who can authorize and coordinate involuntary Emergency Examination and Treatment (sometimes called a "302" after the section in the law) and who can provide information about ongoing services. Involuntary commitment is intended for individuals who are in imminent danger of harming themselves or others due to a serious mental illness.

Call the number above for information about or referral to services available to adults, youth, children and families who have and/or who are in recovery from a mental illness or a serious emotional disturbance.
Between Monday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Department of Human Services Staff will answer your call. During non-business hours an operator will answer your call. If it is an urgent or emergency matter they will have staff return your call as soon as is possible.
