Kudos: Judy Baricella

 Community Living and Support Services (CLASS), a non-profit offering services to people of varying abilities, will honor Judy Barricella, Director of Disability Connection in the DHS Office of Community Relations, as a 2013 Community Hero. She joins four others to receive the award at CLASS’s 21st annual dinner next month.

Judy’s fellow honorees are Morton Coleman, Ph.D, Director Emeritus and Advisor, Institute of Politics, University of Pittsburgh; Robert Nelkin, President and CEO of the United Way of Allegheny County; Judy Painter, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Epilepsy Foundation of Western and Central Pa.; and Al Condeluci, Ph.D., CEO of CLASS.  CLASS offers residential services, community skills training, vocational programs, attendant care services, outreach, and advocacy.

The awards will be given on Oct. 15 at the Westin Convention Center. For more information on the dinner, visit classcommunity.org.
