Kudos: Terri Reighard and Shauna Hines-Lucadamo
Terri Reighard and Shauna Hines-Lucadamo have received praise from administrators at the Philadelphia County Department of Human Services, where the two DHS System Integration Specialists recently trained staff.
Terry and Shauna, part of the DHS Common Assessment team, trained Philadelphia DHS staff, providers and contractors on the Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) and the Family Advocacy and Support (FAST) assessment tools. Both tools are being rolled out in DHS as part of Allegheny County’s participation in the federal Child Welfare Demonstration Project (CWDP). Philadelphia, Lackawanna, Venango and Dauphin are the other Pennsylvania counties participating in the CWDP.
DHS staffers have been in the forefront in developing and implementing CANS and FAST in Allegheny County and the state. Besides in Philadelphia County, Terri, Shauna and their Supervisor, Robin Orlando, have trained staffers in Venango County, and it’s expected the team will do more trainings.
Robin relayed feedback from Philadelphia personnel about Terri and Shauna’s work, saying: “Philadelphia could not say enough about the terrific job you both did with training this week. Great job!”
