KUDOS: ECCO Recognition Program
The Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) recently received a silver award in the category of Professional Outreach from the ECCO (Excellence in Community Communications and Outreach) Recognition Program. The program is sponsored by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Caring for Every Child’s Mental Health Campaign. OBH won the award for its rollout of their publication “Reflections—Lessons Learned from the Allegheny County System of Care Initiative,” and for its broader celebration of the System of Care Initiative (SOCI).
According to Terri Reighard, DHS Systems Integration Specialist, the rollout included “stakeholders, partners and families commemorating the accomplishments and lessons learned from three system of care grants. There was also a video featuring individuals expressing how SOCI had made a difference in their lives, in the lives of families we served, or in the larger system.”
