KUDOS: CYF Staff Members Receive Awards
Each year, Family Resources of Pennsylvania holds an awards banquet to recognize local individuals and organizations that work to improve the lives of children and families. This year, the awards were presented by Marcia Sturdivant, Deputy Director of the Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF), and two CYF staff members – Geri Lawlor and Indera Multani - were among the award winners. Both Geri and Indera received the Community Service Award in honor of their great work with local children and families.
“I truly appreciate my job because it is not only making the lives of children and families better, but it is also changing my life,” said Geri, a caseworker in the South Regional Office. Indera, a Family Advocate Specialist in the Central Regional Office, was equally appreciative of the honor: “Only in healing deficiencies within a community, can that community be truly made whole….this recognition illuminates the often neglected importance of the actual labor that is performed.”
