KUDOS: Above & Beyond Awards
Two DHS Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) staff members - Jude Bisceglia and Tiffani Keirn - were among the nominees for the 2nd Annual Above & Beyond Awards Luncheon held by Operation Backpack and A Child’s Place at Mercy, a part of Pittsburgh Mercy Health System sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy. The awards are designed to recognize area law enforcement and child protective services professionals for their work to protect children from abuse and neglect.
“When I found out my supervisor, Kathleen Tennant, had nominated me for this award I was flattered,” said Jude (CYF Mon Valley Office). “I’ve done a great deal of work with A Child’s Place, and being recognized by such a tremendous organization is an honor.”
Tiffani (CYF Lexington Intake Office) was chosen as the runner-up in the child protective service award category and presented with a commemorative plaque for her hard work and dedication.
“I have been at CYF for over three years, and I will be attending Pitt in the fall to get my master’s degree in social work,” said Tiffani. “This award just re-affirms my belief that this field is where I need to be. I am excited to continue supporting local children and families.”
