OCR graphic designer receives national recognition for flyer design

Meredith Viccari, graphic designer in the DHS Office of Community Relations (OCR), was recently honored by the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) Technical Assistance Exchange Site for a flyer she designed announcing an upcoming training session for human service employees who assist Medicare beneficiaries. The training, sponsored by the Allegheny Link to Aging and Disability Resources and Allegheny County APPRISE, a program of Family Services of Western PA operated in partnership with the DHS Area Agency on Aging, will provide an introduction to Medicare Part A, Part B, Part C and Part D. The eye-catching flyer advertises this training in a simple, yet comprehensive way, and was recognized as a “best practices model” on ADRC’s national exchange website. The ADRC Technical Assistance Exchange Site is sponsored by the U.S. Administration on Aging and is designed to support services for older adults and people with disabilities.

The training session will be led by Bill McKendree of the APPRISE program and will be held on March 9. For more information about the training, or to RSVP, email Joe Elliott at jelliott@alleghenycounty.us.

Congratulations, Meredith, for this well-deserved recognition!
