Older adults impressed with Senior Celebration
Ruth and Ted, attendees at the Senior Celebration in the Park this past May, wrote a letter to DHS sharing how much they enjoyed the event and appreciate all of the DHS staff and providers who made the celebration a success.
“What a wonderful time we had at the Senior Celebration in the Park,” read the letter. “Our every need was met with gifts of food, water, coffee, sunscreen lotion and more.”
Ruth and Ted also expressed their appreciation for the careful planning that occurred to make sure the celebration ran smoothly.
“We were impressed with the care and attention given to planning and executing the multitude of details necessary to successfully carry out such a major event,” said the couple.
CYF caseworker praised for professionalism and more
A mother recently involved with the DHS Office of Children, Youth and Families (CYF) called the Director’s Action Line (DAL) to praise the assistance she received from CYF caseworker Neko Crosby.
The mother described Crosby as “so professional,” “lovely,” “caring,” “kind,” “gracious,” “ladylike,” and “totally in control.” She also said Crosby stayed calm when under pressure and “made a difference in our family.”
