AAA hosts public hearing on future Plan & Budget, includes Protective Services presentation
The Advisory Council of the DHS Area Agency on Aging (AAA) held a public hearing on Tuesday, June 14 at 10:00 a.m., in the Gold Room on the fourth floor of the County Courthouse.
The purpose of the public hearing was to solicit comments on the 2011-2012 Area Plan and Budget Prospectus.
The hearing provided an opportunity for older adults, caregivers and other interested individuals to ask questions and offer comments on aging services in general. Approximately two dozen people attended the hearing.
Persons wishing to give testimony registered in advance for an assigned five-minute time slot. Speakers were also encouraged to register the day of the hearing and provide testimony as time permitted.
All oral and written comments were recorded in the official proceedings of the hearing and sent to the Pennsylvania Department of Aging in Harrisburg.

AAA Protective Services presentation
A presentation was also provided about the AAA Protective Services. The presentation included information about operations, how to identify elder abuse and common characteristics of victims.
